Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a method of securing an account that requires the user to confirm their identity using two different methods. This can be a combination of a password (the first factor) and an additional code that is sent to a phone or generated by a special application (the second factor).

This method is used to enhance the security level of accounts, protecting them from unauthorized access. Even if the password becomes known, an additional level of verification is required to log into the account.

Advantages of two-factor authentication

  1. Enhances account security and protects important data.
  2. Protects against phishing attacks and password guessing attempts.
  3. Reduces the risk of hacking, even if the password has been stolen.
